TOPOLOBAMPO, Mexico – The Pacífico Mexinol project, known as “Mexinol,” has officially commenced its pre-construction phase with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony in Topolobampo, Mexico. This event marks a pivotal step for one of the most significant global industrial investments focused on blue and ultra-low carbon methanol production, strategically positioning Mexico within the new low-carbon chemical industry.
The ceremony, which included the symbolic laying of a first stone, brought together a distinguished group of diplomats, governmental authorities, and prominent national and international business leaders. Their presence reflected the project’s strategic importance for Mexico and its deeper integration into the emerging low-carbon economy, as highlighted by project organizers.
Central to the initiative is a commitment to a Net Zero industrial model, which aims to establish Topolobampo, Sinaloa, as a key hub for industrial development across North America.
